Lawton, OK – According to the statement, Lawton Police Department officers responded to the location to assist the Lawton Fire Department on an unresponsive male, later identified as Levell Newton.
When officers arrived, they located the vicitm with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced deceased on scene.
After interviews and follow ups, Detectives determined that Willie Lindley was the suspect in this homicide.
Last week, the Lawton Police Department received a Crime Stoppers tip that Lindley was at a residence in Lawton.
Officers with the Lawton Police Department went to the residence, and Lindley surrendered peacefully.
After interviewing Lindley, he was arrested and booked into the Lawton City Jail for Murder in the First Degree.
