Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton’s Citizens Academy reached its halfway mark as participants continued learning about the departments and services that help keep the city running.
During Week 6, participants received an overview of the City of Lawton’s Information Technology Services and Human Resources departments.
The Information Technology Services department provided information about the systems, technology and support used by City employees to serve the community. Participants also learned about technology services available to Lawton residents.
Human Resources shared information about its role in supporting the City’s workforce, including employee benefits, resources and services available to city employees.
The Citizens Academy is designed to give participants a closer look at how different City of Lawton departments operate and how they contribute to the community.
With the program now halfway complete, participants will continue learning about additional city departments and the services they provide as the Citizens Academy progresses.
