Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department partnered with the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office on Friday to host a Motorcycle Safety Rider Course at the Fort Sill motorcycle skills pad.
The course was led by officers from the department’s Motor Unit and focused on helping riders strengthen important motorcycle safety skills. Officials said the training was designed for both new and experienced riders who want to improve their abilities and become safer on the road.
Participants used their own motorcycles while completing exercises and instruction aimed at enhancing riding techniques and overall safety awareness.
According to the Lawton Police Department, the course reflects its ongoing commitment to traffic safety and rider education. Officials emphasized that all motorists share the road and that improving motorcycle safety benefits the entire community.
The department thanked the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office for its partnership in bringing the training opportunity to the Lawton and Fort Sill area.
