Lawton, OK – Members of the Lawton Fire Department have returned home after assisting communities in South Texas affected by recent flooding.
The department announced that its team had made it back safely and thanked the community for the support, thoughts, and prayers shared while firefighters were away.
Officials also asked residents to continue keeping South Texas communities, especially the town of Cotulla, in their prayers as residents continue facing the aftermath of the flooding.
The Lawton Fire Department did not provide additional details about the team’s deployment, but thanked everyone who supported the firefighters during their time away.
The department said its members were grateful for the opportunity to assist those impacted by the disaster and encouraged continued support for communities working to recover.
