Fatal Boating Collision Claims Two Lives at Lake Texoma

Oklahoma City, OK – A tragic boating accident at Lake Texoma claimed the lives of two individuals on Friday afternoon. The collision, which occurred near Alberta Creek, approximately five miles southeast of Kingston, Oklahoma, involved a 20-foot Skeeter fishing boat. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the accident took place around 6 p.m. when 70-year-old Danny Glenn, the boat’s operator, attempted to pass under a railroad bridge and struck a bridge pillar.

Both Glenn and his passenger, 73-year-old Leslie Glenn, were ejected from the boat upon impact. When the two men were not immediately located, a coordinated search operation was launched by multiple departments, including Marine Enforcement Units. Despite efforts to locate the pair, it was not until Sunday afternoon that their bodies were found near the scene of the crash.

The search, which spanned two days, ended with the discovery of their bodies, marking a somber conclusion to what had been an intense effort by emergency responders. Authorities have not released further details about the cause of the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.

The accident has left the local community in mourning, as both victims were well known in the area. The OHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision, and the incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that can arise while on the water.
