Lawton, OK – According to the city officials, the Lawton Fire Department received a distress call about a stranded climber, and Lieutenant Foss stepped up, personally climbing the rope to bring the individual to safety.
Lieutenant Foss also gave his own sweatshirt to the cold and distressed climber.
City Manager Ratliff reportedly said:
“That is certainly the type of recognition that we want to give. Lieutenant Foss is making our community a safer one in accordance with the True North Culture Statement.”
