Lawton, OK – Roadway rehabilitation is underway at the intersection of 17th Street and Hoover following a report from a local resident, according to the City of Lawton.
City officials said the concern was reported to the Public Works Department, prompting crews to inspect the roadway. After assessing the conditions, staff determined that rehabilitation work was necessary.
Work on the current section of the roadway is expected to be completed within the next few days. Once that phase is finished, crews will move to the opposite lane to complete repairs on that side of the intersection.
The City said the project highlights the importance of resident reports in identifying and prioritizing infrastructure needs throughout Lawton.
