Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department announced that its Citizens Police Academy will conclude this Thursday with a graduation ceremony following a 13-week program.
Officials thanked Tatiana Scharstein and KSWO 7 News for their continued coverage of the academy throughout the program.
In a featured segment, one of the department’s Sentinels, identified as Mr. Howard, shared insight into the program and highlighted its importance to the city, its officers, and the department.
The Citizens Police Academy is designed to give participants a closer look at law enforcement operations and strengthen community engagement with the department.
