Lawton, OK – Lawton Police Department, along with Cameron University Police and Comanche County Sheriff Deputies, responded to a shooting incident on Gore Boulevard earlier this evening.
Authorities reported that one victim was transported to the hospital with injuries. The Criminal Investigation Division is currently on the scene conducting an investigation into the incident.
The roadway on Gore Boulevard was temporarily closed between 27th and 35th Streets to allow for emergency response and investigation. The closure has since been lifted, and the road is now open to traffic.
Residents needing to access Comanche County Memorial Hospital were advised to use alternate routes via NW 35th, 32nd, or 31st Streets during the closure.
