Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton is preparing for this year’s Wreaths Across America ceremony at Highland Cemetery, with residents invited to sponsor wreaths or volunteer ahead of the annual event.
The ceremony will take place Saturday, Dec. 19, at noon at the cemetery flagpole. Each December, the community gathers to remember and honor veterans buried at Highland Cemetery by placing wreaths on their graves.
The city encouraged residents to get involved early by sponsoring a wreath or signing up to volunteer for this year’s ceremony.
