Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department is recognizing Sergeant Chris Daniels after he achieved his D.A.R.E. certification through the state of Oklahoma.
According to the department, Sgt. Daniels will assist the Lawton Public Schools Police Department with the D.A.R.E. program throughout the year, helping provide students with education and tools to make positive decisions.
The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which has been operating for more than 30 years, focuses on teaching students how to resist drugs, alcohol, and other high-risk behaviors while promoting healthy choices.
Lawton police congratulated Sgt. Daniels on the achievement and thanked the Oklahoma D.A.R.E. Association for providing the photo and supporting the program.
The department said the certification reflects its continued commitment to community engagement and working with local schools to support youth education and safety.
