Governor Stitt welcomes $179 million investment, says “Oklahoma keeps proving it’s a top destination for growing businesses”

Oklahoma – Governor Kevin Stitt announced that McKesson will invest $179 million in a new facility in Moore, Oklahoma, calling the project another sign of the state’s growing business environment.

“Oklahoma keeps proving it’s a top destination for growing businesses,” Stitt said. “I am proud to welcome their new $179 million facility in Moore, Oklahoma, bringing 200+ new jobs and a stronger role for Cleveland County in the national healthcare supply chain.”

The project involves McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 100 healthcare company, building a highly automated regional distribution facility at the North Moore Industrial Park. The facility will serve as a distribution hub for pharmaceutical and medical products, helping support healthcare providers across a multi-state region, Newswire reported.

The planned facility will represent the first large-scale industrial investment at the North Moore Industrial Park and is expected to create more than 200 direct jobs. Officials said the project will also strengthen Cleveland County’s position as a location for major economic development and healthcare supply chain operations.

The new 330,000-square-foot facility is expected to include advanced automation, expanded cold chain capabilities, and technology designed to improve efficiency and reliability in the distribution of healthcare products. McKesson said the investment will help expand its distribution network and support the delivery of medicines and medical supplies to pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare providers.

State and local officials said the project was the result of cooperation between Oklahoma leaders, the City of Moore, and the Cleveland County Economic Development Coalition. Officials said the investment followed a competitive search involving multiple potential locations before McKesson selected Moore.

Governor Stitt said the project reflects years of efforts to create what he described as a pro-business environment in Oklahoma.

“This is what years of building a pro-business climate looks like in action,” Stitt said.

Economic development officials said the project is expected to provide long-term benefits beyond the initial job creation. An analysis from the Cleveland County Economic Development Coalition estimated the project could contribute additional economic activity through direct, indirect, and induced jobs as the facility reaches full operations.

The facility is expected to strengthen Oklahoma’s role in the healthcare supply chain by improving the movement of critical products throughout the region. Officials said McKesson’s decision highlights the state’s location, workforce, and ability to attract large-scale investments.

Construction on the project is expected to move forward as Oklahoma continues efforts to attract new industries and expand economic opportunities across the state.
