Gov. Stitt announced the new commissioner for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services  

Lawton, OK – According to the statement, Allie Friesen has worked as the Director of Clinical Programs in Behavioral Health at INTEGRIS since 2020, developing effective and evidence-based practices across their healthcare system.

In her role, she developed and implemented initiatives to improve access to care, improve patient safety, and quality of care.

Friesen has been a licensed mental health professional since 2014, specializing in working with individuals with neurological disorders and other chronic medical conditions.

She attended Texas Christian University and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, receiving bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling respectively.
