Cache Road bridge project in Lawton underway with repairs and upgrades set to finish by July 2025

Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton has announced that work on the Cache Road bridge project is currently underway and expected to be completed by July 2025, weather permitting. The project is aimed at strengthening both bridges on Cache Road, with repairs designed to extend their lifespan by 20 to 30 years.

In an effort to minimize disruptions, the bridge repairs are being coordinated with an upgrade to the Cache Road water line. As part of the ongoing work, crews will soon shift operations to the south lanes of both bridges. This change will bring traffic changes, and drivers are advised to plan accordingly.

City officials encourage residents to remain patient and cautious while traveling in the area. The project is a significant step in maintaining Lawton’s infrastructure and ensuring safe travel for residents and visitors. As always, the City of Lawton reminds the public that teamwork and understanding are essential during construction projects like this one.

Residents are urged to stay alert, follow posted signs, and use alternate routes if possible to avoid potential delays. The City of Lawton appreciates the community’s cooperation during this important project.
