Students explore aerospace and STEM careers during Fly Forward event 

Lawton, OK – Students in Lawton spent a day learning about aerospace technology, drone operations, and STEM-related challenges during the Fly Forward: Tuesday Take-Off event.

According to the City of Lawton, participants explored aerospace concepts, developed drone flight skills, and took part in hands-on STEM activities designed to encourage learning and problem-solving.

City officials said the event provided students with an opportunity to discover new technologies and gain exposure to fields that could inspire future educational and career interests.

The program was supported by FISTA Innovation Park, the Oklahoma Aerospace Institute for Research and Education (OSU-OAIRE), and the Cameron University Engineering Club. Organizers credited the groups with helping create an engaging learning experience for students.

The City of Lawton thanked the organizations and volunteers involved in the event for helping inspire the next generation of innovators in the community.
