Minnesota – A Minnesota man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his family member, 67-year-old Dlana. The fatal incident occurred last week at their shared residence in Minnesota. The defendant is also facing charges of second-degree criminal se-ual conduct and first-degree burgIary following an assault on an unrelated woman in Minnesota the following day.

Authorities were called to the Minnesota home last week after a witness requested a welfare check, noting that the elderly victim had not been seen since Thursday and that her family member had been acting erratically. Upon arriving, officers observed signs of a struggle and found the victim deceased under a pile of blankets in her bedroom. She had suffered significant trauma to her head and face, and a broken lamp was found near her body. A pair of bIoodied jeans containing the defendant’s wallet and identification were discovered on top of her body.

The following day, the defendant, 36-year-old A. SchIossin, allegedly entered a woman’s apartment through a sliding glass door. He pinned the woman against her refrigerator and gr0ped her. The victim managed to defend herself by hitting him with a frozen item and punching him, causing him to flee the scene. A passerby later reported seeing a man matching his description, bIeeding from his face and claiming he did not remember how he had been injured. Officers apprehended the defendant shortly thereafter.

The 36-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder for the death of his mother and with second-degree criminal se-ual conduct and first-degree burglary for the assault. He is currently being held in the county jail and is scheduled to appear in court on May 8, 2025.

Court records indicate that the defendant has a history of petty misdemeanor drug convictions and traffic violations but no prior serious or violent crimes. Neighbors have reported that he had previously exhibited erratic behavior and had a strained relationship with his family. His brother had reportedly cut ties with him due to past incidents involving threats.

The Minnesota community has been deeply affected by these events. The local police department has expressed condolences to the family and is continuing to support the investigation. Local residents have also rallied to support the victims’ families during this difficult time.

As the legal proceedings unfold, Minnesota authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
