Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers assist multiple law enforcement agencies in locating and saving young girl connected to Texas non-custodial kidnapping suspect 

Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that troopers assisted multiple law enforcement agencies in locating and apprehending a non-custodial kidnapping suspect connected to an incident originating in Smith County, Texas.

According to OHP, the Texas U.S. Marshals Service notified Oklahoma authorities that the suspect was believed to be in the Bryan County area. In response, troopers and local agencies began canvassing the area in an effort to locate the suspect’s vehicle.

During the operation, an Atoka County deputy conducted a felony traffic stop near US-69 and West 13th Street in Atoka County. Authorities said the suspect was taken into custody safely by Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers without incident.

The suspect was transported to the Atoka County Jail for processing and further investigation.

Officials confirmed that the young girl involved in the case was found safe. Troopers and dispatchers remained with the child until family members arrived and she was safely reunited with them.

OHP credited the coordinated response between multiple agencies for the successful resolution of the case, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in bringing the situation to a safe conclusion.
