Kentucky – A Kentucky woman was arrested last week, following the discovery of her deceased chiId hidden in a cIoset at her residence. The newbo rn was found wrapped in a toweI inside a black trash bag. The woman, 21-year-old L. SneIIing, has been charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physicaI evidence, and conceaIing the birth of an infant. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The cause of the chiId’s death is pending an autopsy by the county coroner’s office.

According to Kentucky authorities, officers were called to the location after receiving a report of an unresponsive infant.Upon arrival, they discovered the deceased newborn conceaIed in a cIoset. The chiId was pronounced dead at the scene.The parent, who was present at the residence, admitted to giving birth and attempting to conceaI the birth by c|Ieaning up the scene and disposing of the infant along with cleaning materials in the same trash bag.

Following her arrest, she was released on a $100,000 bond and placed under house arrest at her parents’ home in Tennessee. She is scheduled to appear in court on September 26, 2025, for a preliminary hearing. The investigation is ongoing, and Kencutky authorities have not disclosed whether anyone else was present at the time of the birth or if there were any witnesses to the events leading up to the infant’s death.
