Lawton, OK – The 47th annual International Festival officially got underway at Elmer Thomas Park in Lawton, bringing a weekend of cultural celebrations, food, music and entertainment to the Lawton Fort Sill community.
The City of Lawton announced that opening ceremonies were held at the park, officially kicking off the annual festival celebrating the many cultures represented throughout the community.
Festival activities include cultural experiences, food, live music and entertainment, with events continuing through the evening until 9 p.m.
The city invited residents and visitors to attend the festival and celebrate the different cultures that contribute to the Lawton Fort Sill community.
Admission and parking for the International Festival are free, giving residents an opportunity to attend the event without an admission or parking fee.
The festival is being held at Elmer Thomas Park, where attendees can take part in the weekend celebrations and experience food, music and cultural entertainment from throughout the community.
