Lawton Teacher Faces Assault Charge After Allegedly Pushing Student

Lawton, OK – An arrest warrant has been issued for a physical education teacher at Flower Mound Elementary after allegations surfaced that he physically assaulted a student earlier this year.

Rocky Flint, 41, is facing a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a school student following an incident in early November. According to investigators, Flint reportedly pushed the student on the side of the head before scolding them. The incident came to light after the student’s parents filed a complaint, prompting an investigation by local authorities.

Court documents indicate that after the alleged assault, Flint was placed on administrative leave for four days. He returned to work following the Thanksgiving holiday but was later placed on leave by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

A warrant for Flint’s arrest has been issued, and a bond has been set at $10,000. Online court records show that Flint is expected to face formal charges related to the alleged incident.

As of now, the district has not issued a public statement regarding the ongoing investigation or Flint’s employment status.

Flint, who has worked in the district for several years, is now awaiting further legal proceedings.
