Lawton, OK – A Lawton Police Department officer spent time connecting with community members this week during a game of Bingo at the McMahon Tomlinson Center.
Sgt. Daniels of the department’s Community Oriented Policing (C.O.P.) Division was invited to participate in the game, giving the officer an opportunity to interact with residents outside of traditional police duties.
The department said its officers enjoy opportunities to engage with members of the community, whether through a game of Bingo or playing basketball in a neighborhood cul-de-sac.
Lawton police thanked the McMahon Tomlinson Center for the invitation and encouraged residents interested in learning more about the C.O.P. Division and its programs to contact the department’s Training Division at 580-581-3569.
