Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton has announced that a planned eastbound lane closure on SW Lee Boulevard has been rescheduled as work continues on a major roadway improvement project.
Beginning Monday, July 13, the eastbound lanes of SW Lee Boulevard between SW 52nd Street and SW 38th Street will be closed to through traffic while construction moves into its next phase.
City officials said the main entrance to Great Plains Technology Center will remain open throughout the closure. Motorists traveling westbound will also be able to access the campus using Park Ridge Boulevard.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution while traveling through the work zone, remain alert for construction crews, and allow additional travel time as traffic patterns are adjusted.
The City of Lawton thanked residents and motorists for their patience as improvements to the roadway continue.
