COMANCHE COUNTY, Okla. – Authorities responded to a two-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon on US-277 at the exit ramp of I-44 near Elgin. According to the Elgin Police Department, a flatbed pickup truck was attempting to exit southbound I-44 and make a left turn onto US-277 eastbound when the driver failed to yield.
As the truck turned, it collided nearly head-on with an SUV traveling east on US-277. Fortunately, no injuries were reported at the scene of the crash.
Emergency responders were quick to arrive, and the incident did not result in any major traffic delays. The roadway has since been cleared and reopened to drivers.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
