Lawton, OK – Mayor Stan Booker visited the Abundant Life STEM Camp, where he met with students and learned about the hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics projects they have been working on throughout the program.
During the visit, Booker explored lessons on simple and parallel electrical circuits, dam foundations, and robotics while also trying STEM-based games designed and created by the students.
The mayor said he enjoyed interacting with the campers and learning more about their projects, joking that the visit was so engaging it made him late for his next appointment.
The camp provides students with opportunities to develop practical STEM skills through interactive activities and engineering challenges designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Booker thanked the Abundant Life STEM Camp for its work in inspiring young learners and helping prepare the next generation of innovators through hands-on educational experiences.
