Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy cadets reach significant milestone in training as they learn where they will begin their careers as state troopers

Oklahoma – Cadets in the 75th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy reached a significant milestone in their training on June 5 as they learned where they will begin their careers as state troopers after graduation.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the agency’s chief announced each cadet’s future troop assignment across the state, giving members of the academy their first look at the communities they are expected to serve once training is complete.

The announcement comes as cadets continue working toward graduation, which is scheduled for Aug. 21. While several weeks of training remain, officials said receiving troop assignments marks an important step in the journey toward becoming Oklahoma state troopers.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol noted that academy members have already completed months of intensive training, discipline, and preparation. The assignment announcements provided cadets with a clearer picture of their future roles and brought them one step closer to entering the field.

Officials described the day as a memorable moment for the academy class and emphasized that additional training remains before the cadets officially join the ranks of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Once they graduate, the cadets will be deployed to their assigned troops across Oklahoma, where they will begin serving communities throughout the state as the next generation of state troopers.
