Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers share career experiences with Midwest City High School students

Oklahoma – Members of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol recently took part in an outreach event at Midwest City High School, speaking with students during the school’s Senior Alumni Day.

Retired Trooper Lateka Alexander and newly graduated Trooper R.J. Walker addressed a group of students at Midwest City High School, home of the Bombers, where they discussed their individual career paths and the steps they took to achieve their professional goals.

According to the Highway Patrol, the troopers shared personal experiences from their time in law enforcement, offering insight into the dedication and preparation required for a career with the agency.

The discussion aimed to encourage students to consider future opportunities and to inspire the next generation of leaders and public servants.

Officials said the event provided students with a chance to hear firsthand perspectives from both a retired trooper and a recent academy graduate, highlighting the range of experiences within the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
