Lawton Man Arrested in Convenience Store Burglary, Released on Bond

LAWTON, Okla. – A man accused of burglarizing a local convenience store is out on bond following his arrest on January 22, according to court documents.

Roman Redelk, 36, was taken into custody after Lawton Police say he broke into a convenience store in the early hours of the morning. Authorities reported that video footage captured Redelk using a metal trash can lid to smash the front glass of the store before entering.

Redelk has been formally charged with second-degree burglary, a crime that could carry a sentence of up to 7 years in prison if he is convicted.

Following his arrest, Redelk was granted bond, though the details of his release have not been made public at this time. Lawton police continue to investigate the incident.

The video evidence is expected to play a key role in the prosecution’s case as the legal proceedings move forward.
