Lawton , OK – Several lawmakers from Southwest Oklahoma have been appointed to prominent leadership positions in the Oklahoma State Legislature, solidifying their influence over key policy areas in the upcoming legislative session.
Senator Dusty Deevers of Elgin has been named Vice Chair of the Committee on Revenue and Taxation, a crucial role that will see him involved in discussions on tax policy, state revenue, and fiscal matters. Meanwhile, Senator Brent Howard of Altus has been appointed Chair of the Judiciary Committee, which oversees legal and judicial matters within the state.
