Lawton, OK – Clyde Clayton, convicted for his involvement in the 2023 murder of Brian Corey in Carney, Oklahoma, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in a Lincoln County court on Tuesday. Clayton was found guilty of first-degree murder and several other charges on October 24. The case involved Clayton and Janelle Brown, Corey’s girlfriend, who were accused of killing Corey in the home they all shared. After the murder, the two allegedly burned Corey’s body, along with a recliner he had been sitting in and ceramic tiles stained with his blood.
In July, Brown led investigators to a burn site, where they discovered remnants of burned bone, ceramic tile, and a metal knee implant matching Corey’s. The gruesome discovery helped to build the case against Clayton and Brown, culminating in the life sentence for Clayton.
