Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton’s Youth and Family Affairs Committee has announced that it is now accepting applications for grant funding aimed at nonprofit organizations that work with the city’s youth. These grants are designed to support programs that provide life skills, focus on at-risk youth, and promote educational success.
Nonprofits based in Lawton that plan to offer youth programs can apply for funding to support initiatives that help young people stay in school and develop essential life skills. The funding will be available for programs that meet specific criteria set by the committee.
Organizations interested in applying for the grants must first attend a mandatory pre-application training session. The next session is scheduled for later this month and will take place at the Banquet Room of City Hall. The training is a required step before applications can be submitted.
The application period will remain open until January 31, 2025, providing ample time for organizations to complete the necessary steps. The funding opportunity is part of the committee’s ongoing efforts to support local youth and create positive outcomes for at-risk children and teens in the community.
