Lawton, OK – Lawton police arrested seven individuals following an investigation into fentanyl trafficking and a robbery that involved an assault with a firearm.
Detectives with the Lawton Police Department’s Special Operations Unit began their investigation on March 7, 2025, after identifying Thomas Carter, a known fentanyl trafficker, as a suspect in a recent robbery within city limits. The robbery involved a man being assaulted with a pistol.
During their investigation, detectives tracked Carter to a motel on Cache Road. Officers conducted surveillance and made multiple traffic stops connected to his motel room.
A search warrant was later executed at the location, leading to the discovery of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, stolen property, and the firearm used in the robbery.
Seven individuals were taken into custody as part of the operation. Lawton police have emphasized their continued commitment to investigating fentanyl trafficking and other criminal activities to ensure community safety.
