Lawton, OK – Eight Lawton Police Department officers took part in the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Cameron Stadium, honoring those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001, attacks.
The officers joined fellow emergency responders and community members for the memorial climb, taking on the Cameron Stadium stairs in remembrance of the victims and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Lawton Police Department thanked all of the emergency responders and groups who participated in this year’s event.
The department said the annual stair climb provides an opportunity to remember and honor the lives, courage and sacrifice of those affected by the attacks.
Lawton police said they were proud to stand alongside fellow first responders and community members as they came together to remember September 11.
