Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department announced it is accepting registrations for its upcoming Citizens Police Academy, a free 13-week program designed to give residents a closer look at local law enforcement operations.
According to the department, the academy is scheduled to begin Feb. 5 and will provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about how the police department functions, including its various divisions and responsibilities within the community.
Residents interested in participating can scan the QR code included in the department’s announcement or contact the department’s C.O.P. Division at 580-581-3569 for additional information.
The Lawton Police Department also encouraged the public to follow its social media pages for future updates and information about department programs and events.
