Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol congratulated Trooper Brad Giulioli on earning his jiu-jitsu black belt, an achievement awarded under Chase Nunn at Prowess BJJ in Okmulgee, an affiliate of Omar French Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Trooper Giulioli serves in the Marine Enforcement Division and is also a defensive tactics instructor. Officials noted that earning a black belt requires years of discipline and perseverance, often taking more than 13 years of consistent training with setbacks, injuries, and breakthroughs along the way.
While many troopers train in jiu-jitsu, only a few have reached the rank of black belt. OHP has long recognized the discipline as a core element of its defensive tactics program and expressed appreciation for troopers who continue to advance their skills.
The agency also thanked the gyms and training partners who support troopers in their practice, emphasizing that their contributions help strengthen law enforcement and improve safety across the state.
