Oklahoma – Troopers from Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s Troop S successfully escorted an oversized load — a massive 1.1 million-pound turbine — from Perry to a new power plant west of Stillwater this week.
The operation required detailed logistics and careful planning, as it involved one of the heaviest loads ever escorted by the patrol.
Troopers’ primary role during the two-day transport was to manage traffic and keep the motoring public informed and safe as the enormous turbine moved along the route.
The transport concluded without any incidents, marking a safe and successful delivery of the critical equipment to its destination.
