Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol celebrated the retirement of Lt Larry King #98, who concluded 26 years of dedicated service to the state of Oklahoma.
Lt King began his career with OHP as a member of the 51st Academy on March 30, 1999. After graduation, he was assigned to Cotton County in Troop G, where he served until his promotion to Lieutenant in July 2018. Following the promotion, he served in Troop E for two and a half years before returning to Troop G as a Lieutenant for the remainder of his career.
Throughout his tenure, Lt King contributed in multiple roles, including as one of the original members of the Troop G Emergency Response Team (ERT), Drug Recognition Expert Instructor, SFST Instructor, Background Investigator, Field Training Trooper, Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector, and Field Training Supervisor. His efforts helped mentor and shape future generations of troopers.
Lt King’s dedication, professionalism, and leadership earned him numerous commendations and awards. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol extended best wishes to him and his family in retirement.
