Arizona – A 38‑year‑old Gilbert, Arizona, man was arrested and charged with multiple feIonies including se-ual assauIt and kidnapping after an investigation revealed he allegedly drugged his spouse and soIicited other men onIine to se-ually assauIt the woman while she was unconscious. The man’s identity has not been released by police in order to protect his spouse’s privacy. Along with him, 41‑year‑old E. Tores was also arrested and charged with se-ual assauIt for his alleged role in the attacks, according to police and court records.
Arizona authorities began investigating the case after the victim, the spouse of the suspect, reported what had been happening to law enforcement. She told officers she discovered photos and videos of herself, without any cIothes, onIine that showed men se-ually assauIting her while she was dru gged, and that her spouse was responsible for posting them. She said she first learned about the conduct in Oct. last year but was afraid to report it earlier because her husband had threatened to take their children from her if she went to police.
Police say the investigation revealed that the partner had allegedly drugged the victim without her knowledge using sIeeping piIIs and then used a social media platform to pose as part of a swlnger couple in order to soIicit strangers to come to their home. Detectives allege he invited men he met onIine to have se* with his spouse while she was unconscious, and he recorded the assaults.
One of the men who responded to the soIicitation and came to the home was later identified as 41-year-old E. Tores. Police say they were able to identify the co-defendant after watching videos from the home in which he was seen wearing a shirt advertising his business, PDR, which also included his personal cellphone number. He was arrested on a charge of se-ual assauIt.
During the investigation, officers interviewed the victim and collected evidence from digital platforms and communications. The victim told Arizona authorities that her husband had druged her with his own prescribed sIeeping piIIs in at least one incident in Nov. 2024, linking him directly to the actions depicted in some of the videos. The investigation team also gathered court documents showing how the husband used fake names and accounts while posting the photos and videos without her consent.
While she was speaking with police, the husband reportedly caIIed his spouse on the phone multiple times. In those calls, according to court documents obtained by L&C, he both admitted it was ‘a bad judgment call’ and denied that he had done anything wrong. “I didn’t do anything wrong,” he allegedly told her. “I didn’t r-pe anybody. Nobody got hurt. From my knowledge, I did nothing wrong.” On another call, he said, “I take full responsibility for acting out… I was frustrated and mad. I promise you, I did not know I was in the wrong.”
The victim told police she first discovered what was happening after finding messages and videos showing herself being druged and assaulted, and that she had delayed reporting it because of her fear that her spouse would try to take custody of their children. Once the report was finally made, investigators gathered enough evidence to arrest the both defendants earlier this month.
Law enforcement has stated that the investigation is still ongoing as they continue to search for others who may have been solicited and involved in the assaults. Police have encouraged anyone with information to come forward to assist with the case.
In interviews with authorities, the spouse attempted to downplay the severity of his conduct, framing it as a mistake and expressing frustration, but he did not specifically address the alleged soIicitation or attacks beyond his stated belief that he had done nothing wrong. He has also been charged and is expected to face the legal process for his alleged involvement in the se-ual assault of the victim.
