Lawton, OK – As National Police Week came to a close, the Lawton Police Department thanked the community for its continued support of officers and department programs.
In a statement shared early Sunday morning, the department said community involvement plays an important role in its mission to serve and protect residents.
Officials said support from the public, whether through attending events, participating in programs, encouraging officers, or standing behind the department, makes a difference every day.
The department also expressed appreciation for its partnership with the communities of Lawton and Fort Sill, saying the relationship helps build a safer and stronger community for everyone.
