Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department announced its partnership with the Autism Foundation of Oklahoma and Darien’s Voice for an upcoming Project Safe Stop event.
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 19, at 4 p.m. in the FISTA parking lot.
It is designed to give autistic drivers and passengers an opportunity to practice safe traffic stops in a controlled environment while also connecting families with local law enforcement and community resources.
The department encouraged students and families to attend and learn more about the initiative. Registration for the event is available through Eventbrite.
