Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton brought community spirit and public service together on Saturday with its Boots & Badges Blood Drive, held at the Great Plains Coliseum’s Prairie Building. The event ran through 2 p.m. and encouraged residents to donate blood while enjoying family-friendly activities.
In addition to making a life-saving contribution, attendees were treated to food, snacks, and entertainment for children, including a bounce house and a chance to climb aboard a real fire truck.
A friendly rivalry added excitement to the event, with donors invited to cast their vote for either Lawton Fire or Lawton Police, supporting their favorite first responders in the ongoing Boots & Badges tradition.
City officials thanked the public for their participation and wished everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend. The event was part of Lawton’s ongoing efforts to promote community engagement and support local emergency services.
