Lawton, OK – The Lawton Fire Department participated in a community-focused Summer Kickoff event hosted in partnership with the Lawton Public Library, bringing fire safety education and hands-on learning to local families.
According to the Lawton Fire Department, firefighters joined the library’s Summer Kickoff and Fire Safety Scavenger Hunt, where children and families had the opportunity to learn important fire safety tips while engaging in interactive activities.
Attendees were also able to explore fire apparatus up close, giving participants a closer look at the equipment used by firefighters in emergency response situations.
Fire officials thanked everyone who attended the event and stopped by to interact with firefighters, noting that community outreach opportunities like this help strengthen public awareness while building relationships with residents.
The department emphasized its continued commitment to community engagement and safety education throughout the summer months, encouraging residents to take part in additional programs offered by the Lawton Public Library and the City of Lawton.
