Homicide Investigation Underway in Northern Greer County 

Greer County, Okla. — The Greer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double homicide that occurred in the northern part of the county late on January 19.

According to officials, law enforcement responded to a 911 call reporting a forced entry into a residence around 10 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found evidence suggesting the home had been broken into. Inside, they discovered two individuals who had suffered gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived shortly thereafter, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI) has since been called in to assist with the case, along with the District 3 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force. The agencies are working together to gather more information and piece together the circumstances surrounding the crime.

As of now, the identities of the victims have not been released, and authorities have not shared any details regarding potential suspects or a motive for the killings. The investigation remains ongoing, and more information is expected to be provided as it becomes available.
