Governor appoints Senior Advisor to Division of Government Efficiency to drive waste reduction and improve state operations

Oklahoma – Governor Kevin Stitt has appointed economist, businessman, and attorney Marc Nuttle as Senior Advisor to the Division of Government Efficiency (DOGE-OK).

Announced during the Governor’s State of the State address earlier this month, DOGE-OK builds on Stitt’s previous initiatives aimed at eliminating wasteful government spending, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are used effectively across state government.

Governor Stitt highlighted his administration’s commitment to reducing government inefficiencies, stating, “I’ve been DOGE-ing in Oklahoma since before it was cool.

We’ve stopped agencies from contracting with lobbyists and using outside PR firms, and we’re on track to have fewer state employees at the end of my term than when I took office.”

He further noted that Nuttle’s expertise will be instrumental in identifying additional areas for cost savings.

As an unpaid volunteer leading DOGE-OK, Nuttle will leverage his experience and knowledge to analyze agency budgets, legislative appropriations, and contracts.

Under Governor Stitt’s executive order, state agency directors are required to provide full access to agency records, software systems, and I.T. systems, enabling Nuttle and his team to thoroughly review operations and eliminate waste.

This initiative is part of Governor Stitt’s ongoing efforts to make Oklahoma’s state government more efficient and accountable.
