Oklahoma City, OK – Firefighters with the Oklahoma City Fire Department (OKCFD) responded to a major fire at Mason Manor Apartments, located at 6018 NW 23rd St, early Sunday morning. The fire, which broke out in the apartment complex’s breezeway, quickly spread to multiple units, prompting a swift and coordinated response from emergency crews.
OKCFD received multiple reports of a fully engulfed fire at the scene, and upon arrival, crews were met with heavy flames. According to OKCFD District Chief, the fire had spread to at least eight units before crews were able to bring it under control.
During the chaos, four residents from an upstairs unit managed to escape the building by climbing out of a window. In addition, a person from another upstairs unit was safely evacuated by firefighters. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all individuals were safely accounted for at the scene.
Despite the widespread damage, the fire was reportedly knocked down quickly, preventing further destruction. However, officials have not yet released information on how many residents were displaced by the fire or the extent of the damage to the affected apartments.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by authorities.
