With Thanksgiving falling on Thursday, November 28, the City of Lawton’s Solid Waste Collection Division will observe the holiday by taking the day off. However, residents can rest assured that trash collection will not be skipped, though it will follow a modified schedule for the remainder of the week.
According to Caitlin Gatlin, spokesperson for the City of Lawton, trash pickup will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week. Residents who typically have their trash collected on Thursday will see pickup on Friday, and those with Friday collections will have their trash collected on Saturday.
The modified schedule ensures that all regular service is still provided while accommodating the holiday break for city workers. Residents are encouraged to be mindful of the schedule changes and to place their trash out on the correct day to avoid delays.
For further information or updates, residents can contact the City of Lawton’s Solid Waste Collection Division.
