Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has opened a new headquarters for Troop H in Clinton, replacing an outdated facility that the agency had outgrown.
The 7,500-square-foot building is located on Gary Boulevard along historic Route 66, on land donated by the City of Clinton. The agency celebrated the facility’s grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by community members and local officials.
The previous headquarters was an older house built in 1967 and converted into an OHP facility in 1981. It also accommodated dispatch and driver license services, but the building eventually became too small to meet the troop’s needs.
The new facility was constructed for just under $3 million, with funding provided through the Oklahoma Capitol Improvement Authority Fund.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the building includes expanded office space to accommodate future growth, modern facilities for Troop H personnel and a state-of-the-art classroom for regional training.
The upgrades are intended to better support the agency’s operations and the communities served by Troop H.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol thanked Concerned Oklahomans for the Highway Patrol Society for hosting the open house and the Clinton Chamber of Commerce for conducting the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
