Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Transportation Commission is set to hold its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, at the R.A. Ward Transportation Building, 200 N.E. 21st St., in Oklahoma City. Members of the public and media are encouraged to attend in person or view the proceedings via livestream.
Among the key agenda items, Oklahoma Department of Transportation Executive Director Tim Gatz and the commission will formally welcome newly appointed District 1 Commissioner Ronnie Boswell.
Commissioners will also consider approval of a new edition of the County Improvements for Roads & Bridges 5 Year Construction Work Plan, a critical document outlining infrastructure priorities across the state.
Gatz is expected to provide an update on ongoing repairs to the US-70 Roosevelt Bridge causeway at Lake Texoma, a project that has drawn regional attention due to its impact on local traffic and tourism.
Additionally, the commission will vote on awarding several transportation contracts, including a project to widen and resurface US-270 in Latimer County, improvements to US-177 in Lincoln County, and a pavement rehabilitation project along SH-66 in Creek County.
