Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department announced that the traffic lights at the intersection of Railroad and Gore will be out of service on July 31, 2025, starting at 9 a.m.
The City of Lawton Electronics Division will be working on the light timing system to reduce wait times for motorists traveling on Gore Boulevard.
During this time, stop signs will be placed to control traffic flow through the intersection. Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their morning commute if traveling on Gore.
The department also reminded all motorists to wear their seatbelts and drive safely, emphasizing that everyone shares the road.
Residents of Lawton and Fort Sill are encouraged to stay alert and patient while the work is underway.
