Oklahoma Highway Patrol lieutenant retires after 25 years of service 

Oklahoma – According to the state officials, Lt Toy Thilges has retired after 25 years of dedicated service to the State of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

Thilges began his career in June 2000, graduating from the 52nd Academy. He was initially assigned to Troop L in Vinita and issued badge #410.

In 2005, he expanded his role by joining the Emergency Response Team, contributing to specialized operations and public safety efforts.

On October 2, 2015, Thilges was promoted to Lieutenant, receiving badge #121 and assigned to Troop XA at the Will Rogers Turnpike detachment.

In January 2021, he transferred to Troop XD at the Cherokee Turnpike, where he served until his retirement.

OHP honored Lt Thilges for his significant contributions and commitment to the safety of Oklahoma’s citizens.
