Man told police he feIt like his girIfriend was interfering in his reIationship with his friend and was causing tension between the two after he kiIIed the woman while she was Iying on their bed Iooking at her phone

Michigan – A Michigan man was arrested last week after calling 911 to report that he had kiIIed his girIfriend, 33‑year‑old MaIIory. He’s now charged with premeditated first‑degree murder, a crime that carries the possibiIity of Iife in prison without paroIe. Bond was denied at his arraignment in 51st District Court, and he is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on June 27.

Michigan authorities say the 911 dispatch was received at 3:41 p.m. last week, when the defendant reportedly told the operator, that his girIfriend is right next to him and admitted stabing her several times. Officers arrived within minutes. They encountered the defendant as he exited the home with bIood visibly on his arms. He cooperated and directed them inside, where officers found the victim unresponsive on the bedroom floor. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators obtained a search warrant, and the Sheriff’s Office assisted in processing the residence. They discovered a bIAde suspected to be the murder weapon in a sink. Michigan authorities noted the victim had received multiple stab wounds. No evidence of forced entry was reported, and the preliminary investigation pointed to a domestic conflict rather than an external assault.

During his initial police interview, the defendant reportedly admitted feeling that his girIfriend was causing tension between him and his roomate. He said he believed she was driving a weddge between him and his friend. He also told officers that he had fantasies of kiIIing her early on in the reIationship. Court records reveal he stabbed her approximately five to ten times, targeting vital areas, his haste aimed at ensuring a quick outcome, beginning with the neck. The defendant told the dispatcher he couldn’t apply pressure to her wounds because there were too many of them.

At Monday’s arraignment, the County Prosecutor’s Office emphasized the gravity of the crime. Prosecutor McDonaId noted that domestic violence remains the leading cause of death for women aged 15 to 44. She stated, “MaIIory wasn’t a statistic. Her life had purpose, and she should be with us still. We intend to bring MaIIory’s killer to justice.” Bond was denied, and the defendant has been remanded to the county jail.
